MOTORCYCLE RENTAL

  •        You need a valid motorcycle licence and an matching
    category in your licence for all motorcycles over 125 cc.
  • You also need a valid ID document, either your passport or ID card for EU citizens.
  • It is required to have your own travel insurance.
  • To rent a motorcycle with Funmoto ADVentures you have to be 24 years or older, have a
    minimum of 3 years of experience and pay an insurance deposit of pre-defined
    amount in cash or card.
  • Insurance deposit amount charged on-site can be done with
    credit or debit cards, also in the cash. Preauthorized amount on your card or
    cash left is returned upon the return and after the inspection of motorcycles,
    if there is no damage found. 
  • A 30% of deposit per booked motorcycle and duration is placed at the time of booking, as a confirmation of booking. The remaining amount of 70% to pay is due at the time of the rental before the requested booking time just before you take a requested motorcycle.
  • Deposit payment is done through our reservation system on the website. You can choose to pay by credit card or PayPal. Once on-site, payment can be done in cash (Euros or Dollars), via credit card or a wire transfer through the payment link.
  • This deposit is a motorcycle rental liability insurance in case of any damage or theft.

Once on-site you will also be charged a deposit by the method of preauthorization hold. We hold a reserve or “freeze” the equivalent amount and the balance is unavailable until the motorcycle is returned. Deposit insurance amount can be done via credit card or in cash. The deposit amount is 500 euros and it does not depend on the duration of the booking.

  • Any motorcycle damage or theft is covered by the deposit amount pre-defined and reserved from you credit card or taken upfront in cash before completing the rental process.

Yes. Apart from liability insurance coverage taken as a deposit, in case of any damage exceeding the deposit amount is covered by Funmoto ADVentures insurance policies. We expect the guests to have at least a basic traveller’s insurance covered by their insurance company before travel. 

  • Booking per day is for a day. If you booked a motorcycle at 9am, it has to be returned by 7pm the same day. In case of running late, you will be charged as if you booked 48 hours. This applies to multiple days of booking – the motorcycle has to be returned by 7pm on the last day of your booking.
  • Upon booking, you will immediately receive a booking confirmation for the motorcycle. If you booked 3 motorcycles, you will receive 3 automated booking confirmations. This booking confirmation will include your selected motorcycle, selected date, selected duration, contact number and pick up/drop-off location. It will also include our direct contact information and cancellation/no-show policy.

If you have not received your automated email confirmation, please check your SPAM folder. If you still cannot locate this email, contact us directly to request new confirmations

  • It is required to book a motorcycle in advance, as we want to ensure motorcycles will be prepared.
  • Motorcycles can be booked the day before. Bookings will be open up to 12 hours before the possible rental. In high season availability cannot be guaranteed so we recommend booking as soon as you organize your travel itinerary.

There is no limit on duration of your booking. Motorcycles can be booked for a day or more.  If you want to extend your booking while away, we will charge you as how much days you want to prolongue your booking immediately upon your request. Taken in consideration that it will be possible and the motorcycles are not already booked for the following time.

  • Yes, the price changes according to the booking duration. One or two days of booking have one price set, three to 6 days another price set and seven days or more of booking have their own price set. The longer duration of booking, the lower the price.

The best time to ride in Croatia is April to October.

Winters on the coastline are mild but in the mountains and hinterland is cold and snow for most part of the winter.

  • The office and a pick-up/drop-off location is just outside of the city of Split, 20kms away in small place Duće, next to ˝Bracera˝ restaurant. It is conviniently placed on a coastal road to make it easier to start navigating the traffic for the start and avoid the inner city traffic stress. It is also set on a beautiful pebble stone beach with a renowned beach restaurant.
  • You can take a taxi or a local bus n. 60 which leaves Split every 15mins and stops directly in front of our office.
  • If you would like a transfer to be arranged, please contact us
  • You have to be at least 24 years of age and have to have a driving licence for these categories for at least 3 years to rent motorcycles.

The allowed mileage to ride in a day of rent is up to 300kms (app 190 miles) for Hondas and up to 400kms (app 250 miles) for a Yamaha. We consider this mileage covered in a day enough to get to see around and for a rider, to not tire both the rider and the motorcycle.

  • You get an ADV helmet to your size, gloves and a case holder for your mobile placed on the steering to help you navigate around. In case you want more equipment, you can rent gloves, body armor, knee protectors and soft bags in our office. We are equipped and supported by Enduristan ADV motorcycle equipment.
  • Yes. We offer body armor, knee protectors and soft bags for rent. All the equipment is supported by Enduristan ADV motorcycle equipment.
  • We offer also sleeping bags and tents for rent. Although ˝wild camping˝ is not allowed in Croatia, a stay for the night somewhere in nature outside of people’s views won’t be noticeable. But beware of possible passers-by, such as smaller wild animals, wild boar and bears, especially in the mountains.
  • If the weather appears to be really bad on your requested booking date (in case of showers or strong wind on the booked date), we will reschedule your booking for the following date, if possible. If not, we will refund you the amount paid during the booking process on the website.
  • For cancellations received at least 72 hours prior to the booked date, we will provide a 100% refund of the deposit. Within 72 hours of the tour, the deposit is non-refundable. Regardless of time frame, we request that you let us know by email, contact form or by phone at +385 91 545 3696 if you do not plan to attend so we re-open bookings.
  • For guests that do not show up at the requested bookings without notice or that cancel less than 24 hours before the tour, we will charge the billing credit card a 40EUR no show fee per motorcycle.

This booking confirmation will include your selected tour, selected motorcycle (if chosen), selected date, selected duration, contact number and pick up/drop-off location. It will also include our direct contact information and cancellation/no-show policy.

  • Yes. These are adventure tours with riding light off-road trails and connecting roads. If you consider your motorcycle adequate for such riding, you can only book the guided tour without booking the motorcycle. During the booking process, there will be an option to choose a motorcycle for the tour or to note that you will be riding your own motorcycle. Base cost of the tours cover guide service and miscellaneous expenses (food, ferry tickets, etc. – depending on the tour).

  • One-day tours include a guide service and miscellaneous expenses (food, ferry tickets, etc. – depending on the tour).
  • 1 day above and beyond Split Tour includes a guide and lunch with drinks and a horse ride.
  • 1 day island tour includes return ferry tickets for passengers and motorcycles, a guide and dinner with drinks.

Yes. We offer body armor, knee protectors and ADV boots in various sizes for rent. The price is 35 euros per person per day for a complete equipment.

  • One-day tours are designed for the pleasure of riding, sightseeing and some leisure time, dependable on the preferences of the riders. Duration of a one-day tour around Split lasts for about 10 hours altogether with lunch and breaks. Duration of a one-day island tour depends on the ferry timetables but expected duration of the whole tour is up to 14 hours together with the time on the ferry and dinner.

Mileage covered on one-day tours is a little over 100kms (app 65 miles), depending on the tour. We consider this mileage covered in a day enough to get to see around, enjoy the views, stop for a break or sightseeing and maybe for a short swim, if it is swimming season. From our experience, it is quite enough for a rider, not to tire both the rider and the motorcycle.

Renting a motorcycle within the tour ensures you get an ADV helmet, gloves and a case holder for your mobile placed on the steering to help you navigate around. In case you want more equipment, you can rent body armor, knee protectors, ADV boots and soft bags in our office. We are supported by Enduristan ADV motorcycle equipment.

  • A bottle of water, your rucksack (if you don’t have one, you can rent a soft bag in our office) with your personal belongings, spare clothes, sunscream, sunglasses and all the essentials you consider potentially necessary for you on this tour.
  • Snacks for a half-day break on one-day island tours.

For cancellations received at least 72 hours prior to the booked date, we will provide a 100% refund of the deposit. Within 72 hours of the tour, the deposit is non-refundable. Regardless of time frame, we request that you let us know by email, contact form or by phone at +385 91 545 3696 if you do not plan to attend so we re-open bookings.

For guests that do not show up at the requested bookings without notice or that cancel less than 24 hours before the tour, we will charge the billing credit card a 60EUR no show fee per person or a motorcycle on the tour.

If you consider your motorcycle adequate for such riding, you can only book the guided tour without booking the motorcycle. During the booking process, there will be an option to choose a motorcycle for the tour or to note that you will be riding your own motorcycle. Base cost of the tours cover guide service and miscellaneous expenses (food, accommodation, fery tickets, etc. – depending on the tour).

Tours are designed for the pleasure of riding, sightseeing and some leisure time, dependable on the preferences of the riders. We consider this mileage covered in a day enough to get to see around, enjoy the views, stop for a break and sightseeing. From our experience, it is quite enough for a rider, not to tire both the rider and the motorcycle.
