And there are historical sites and heritage scattered all over the area. From the magical landscape changing as we ride to the old Napoleon’s road along the river; from military tanks from the 90s was to the abandoned ex-Yugoslavian military station; from the top of the hill to the canyon of the river, from the end of Cetina river to its beginning…

Itinerary

Day one starts with the meeting in our office on the beach. After we make sure we got all our stuff with us needed for two days ride, we hit a part of the coastline road going for Omiš town. As we ascend you will whitness the everamazing view of Cetina river running to the sea through the dire strait of two cliffs overlooking its escape into the Adriatic sea. Next is Mosor mountain. It is the highest closest mountain to Split with its 1339m altitude and we will be riding down the sunny side -  the south side with the view over Split and the islands. Then we hit the road to reach Peruča lake, a man made accumulation lake created by Cetina river. As we ride upstream we reach its beginning – a worldwide famous Cetina river source with its unexplored and unknown depths. Why worldwide famous? Because it has a shape of a human organ, and which exactly - you will judge for yourself. Not long after we have Napoleon's road and its twists – an 18th century road project following the stream of river Krka. If you are lucky and hit the right time of the year , you might have a chance to whitness its magical but disappearing waterfall at the end of the road. That's when we reach the city of Knin and stay for the night in a cozy and clean pension, or nearby in tents.

After breakfast in our stay and a coffee in Knin fortress we ride towards the peak of nearby hill where the view goes 360° from the mountains to the sea. We ride through famous prosciutto town on our way to the river canyon where we take a short brake at the sightseeing spot where two small rivers give birth to a famous big one – Krka river. Krka water falls is a natural gem you will probably visit while in Croatia, but on this tour you will see its creation! We hit the road down south nearing Split and ride over two hills with the view over Split and the islands.
